February 15, 2010 - We have updated the DESIGN II for Windows brochure to add more information about depressuring, specification dialogs and more.

January 12, 2010 - Version 10.12 of DESIGN II for Windows is available for download now ! This is a release with both fixes and upgrades.

Added creation of custom symbols and symbol libraries
Added a new dialog to manage symbol libraries
Added "delete first segment" to the stream popup menu
Added drag and drop of symbols from the browser to the drawing
Added Stream Entropy to the variables available to the Controller
Added a new graphical primitive, snap point
Added a new command to keep the tube pitch specified by the user for the shell and tube heat exchager rating
Fixed an isentropic flash convergence problem for a compessor operating at or near the critical for a single component stream
Miscellaneous small enhancements and fixes (see release notes )

Please note that the Password algorithm was changed for the 10.10 release. Your new password should have been emailed to the contact person for your account. If you need a new password, please contact Technical Support for your new password if you are on MSS or a Usage agreement.

December 18, 2009 - We are offering free introductory training classes for DESIGN II for Windows at our offices here in Sugar Land, Texas. We still have 2 or 3 spots open for the class scheduled for Friday, March 5, 2010 at 8 am. Let us know by RSVP to admin if you are interested and we will send you a confirmation e-mail with directions.

The class lasts a half day, from 8 am until noon. Murugan Selvan, Ph.D. Chemical Engineering and head of our technical support staff will teach the class. The course is a very good overview of the capabilities of DESIGN II. The agenda for the session can be found at training agenda (70K Word document). Please note that this class does contribute 4 hours towards the yearly requirements for the Texas Board of Professional Engineers Continuing Education Program .

Please note that we are going to have a FREE Barbecue lunch after the training session. We would be pleased if you can stay to meet our staff and eat lunch with us.

April 17, 2009 - Please note that the printed documentation for DESIGN II for Windows 10.0 has been updated at documentation . The Adobe Acrobat versions of the manuals will be included in the 10.03 release of DESIGN II for Windows. You can order printed copies of all four manuals at www.lulu.com (the URLs are on documentation ).
