March 16, 2010 - Please note that the printed documentation for DESIGN II for Windows 10.1 has been updated at documentation . The Adobe Acrobat versions of the manuals will be included in the 10.13 release of DESIGN II for Windows. You can order printed copies of all four manuals at www.lulu.com (the URLs are on documentation ).

March 12, 2010 - Version 10.13 of DESIGN II for Windows is available for download now ! This is a release with both fixes and upgrades.

Added a new search dialog to locate unit modules or streams via a search interface for use with F3 (Find Next) and Shift + F3 (Find Previous) keyboard controls. The search dialog is activated using the Ctrl + F (Find) key sequence.
Added "delete all cases" to the "view results cases" dialog to allow user control on stored file sizes
Added a new stream property dialog to the edit menu and the right mouse click popup menu when more than one stream or unit module is selected
Added True Vapor Pressure (TVP) to the stream display results on the flowsheet
Added options to display Mixed Amine Column condenser and reboiler duty, top and bottom temperatures, number of trays, reflux ratio, and Rich/Lean Amine Loading results on the flowsheet
Added a Dense Grid option for a 2X grid under the View menu and changed the grid default density back to previous density
Added pressure effect to the water freezing point calculations
Added over 100 more component structrures and moved all component structures to the compdata.txt file
Converted the bubble point pressure calculation to a full three phase thermodynamic method from the two phase plus free water thermodynamic method
Miscellaneous small enhancements and fixes (see release notes )

Please note that the Password algorithm was changed for the 10.10 release. Your new password should have been emailed to the contact person for your account. If you need a new password, please contact Technical Support for your new password if you are on MSS or a Usage agreement.

February 15, 2010 - We have updated the DESIGN II for Windows brochure to add more information about depressuring, specification dialogs and more.

December 18, 2009 - We are offering free introductory training classes for DESIGN II for Windows at our offices here in Sugar Land, Texas. We still have 2 or 3 spots open for the class scheduled for Friday, March 5, 2010 at 8 am. Let us know by RSVP to admin if you are interested and we will send you a confirmation e-mail with directions.

The class lasts a half day, from 8 am until noon. Murugan Selvan, Ph.D. Chemical Engineering and head of our technical support staff will teach the class. The course is a very good overview of the capabilities of DESIGN II. The agenda for the session can be found at training agenda (70K Word document). Please note that this class does contribute 4 hours towards the yearly requirements for the Texas Board of Professional Engineers Continuing Education Program .
